Upon arrival we were told we had to go on pitch 18 as the site was full. We had booked an awning pitch but the computer said non awning even though I had a printout with me! I also noted at least 10 site keys hanging on the board denoting free pitches. Walking the site also confirmed this which i also pointed out to the warden. Even so I was told I had to go on pitch 18 which is a horrid stoney pitch in the top of what only can be described as a quarry car park with no grass and no views. When I confronted the warden with these facts I was told I had to go on this pitch and as I was only here for 1 night I would manage. Several vehicles came on after us and pitched wherever they liked. This is the second time we have been allocated a pitch due to us being a small motorhome staying only one night. Maybe I should have sent my husband in to discuss this with the warden. It's not even as though we get discount for a non awning pitch! Needless to say we won't be staying here again. Also there is no email for the Caravan club you can complain to. We stay mainly on Caravan club sites and as a rule are totally happy with the service we have had having been a member for over 14 years.
