We used the site basically to travel on the West Somerset Steam Railway and it all worked out very well. As a motorhomer, and Minehead doesnt seem to like motorhomes, we used the bus up and down. Perhaps the site could have a simple sketch map available to show where the stops are and where to ask the driver to set you down? All in all a very tidy and well run site and a motorhome drain that you CAN drive over!

Lovely Little Site
We have just returned from our annual trip to this site. This site is so convenient to Minehead town and the lovely Exmoor national Park. The site is kept spotless by Helen & Brian the wardens a lovely helpful friendly couple.
Lovely part of the country
We stayed here for 4 nights in our motorhome at the end of September. The site is well maintained and everything was very clean. The wardens were very pleasant and helpful. The site was almost full when we arrived so our choice of pitch was limited. This meant that we did not have the luxury of a level pitch. However, the combination of ramps and a couple of house bricks ( borrowed from one of the wardens) solved the problem.
There is plenty of walking available within easy reach of the site, and the cycle ride and subsequent visit to Dunster Castle is worth doing. However, be warned that there are a few hills to negotiate (particularly towards the end of the ride back), and despite what the Sustrans leaflet says . . . . it is not suitable for small children. Porlock is also worth a look. There is a bus from Minehead town centre, and when you are there we can recommend the very nice walk across the salt marshes to Porlock Weir.
Good for visiting Exmoor.
Enjoyed our stay here in September/October. First time to area and made the most to explore. Steam train is a good attraction. Would not think this site is suitable for children as no obvious play area.

Excellent site
Stayed mid September 2017. Well maintained and well run sites. Ideal centre for touring. No 28 bus is good for Cleeve Abbey and Taunton. No 10 bus for Porlock Weir though is at risk of closure. Stuart Lowen farm shop (behind Tesco Superstore). Has first class meat and frozen fish. Overall great place to be.

quiet and relaxing
a great site location only 10 mins walk into minehead and beach area. very helpful and friendly staff. perhaps site may not really be suitable for young children. very clean and tidy. would stay there again.
Peaceful
Stayed on site 30 July for a week .Well kept site a credit too the managers who are helpful but unintrusive.
Showers and toilets always clean whatever time of day used.
Nice touch of books for sale donation to charities. Good walk into Minehead but I do have walking problems. Its well worth the visit steam railway discount to club members from reception. Chugs along the line and you can choose destination or get on and off. Lovely little cafe called the appletree where your pooch is most welcome inside and out. Bowl of water provided, treats and a blanket to lay on very VIP. Food was excellent and well presented good value as well. Porlock is well worth a visit lovely village and lovely tea shop by the carpark. We found a local cab firm called Chris taxi very reasonable will drop you off and pick you up on request. Enterprise expected us to get to Taunton to pick up car although states will deliver to site hence use of taxi s but this actually worked out far cheaper for us and no parking hassles.
Nice & Quiet
We stayed for 3 nights in our caravan. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the site was well kept and toilets/showers were clean. Nice large pitches. Minehead is lovely along with the other towns and attractions in the area. It doesn't deserve a negative review. We West Yorkshire folk must see it in a more positive light!!

Lovely Site
Have come to site for the weekend and will be back. For us there is nothing dark or dismal about the site as per a previous review. Pitches are set in terraces that are tree lined but I do not recognise the comments of a recent review, pitches seem to get the sun as you would expect on a tree lined site. Wonderful walking available and a good bus service. Local Coop and two large supermarkets all in walking distance. The large supermarkets have large car parks so it is possible to park a motor home like ours which is 6.3m.
