BEAUTIFUL SITE

It's a while since we visited this lovely site and it is still as pristine as we remembered. The pitches are very spacious - a selection of hard standing and grass pitches. The wardens work very hard to keep the site neat and tidy and the facilities blocks are spotless. The Fish and Chips and wood fired pizza options on site are an added bonus. The lovely village of St Mawes is only 5 miles away and as motorhomers, we found the bus stop outside the site entrance very useful. St Mawes Castle is a must see experience. Cafe Chandlers is a super little cafe serving hot and cold food which is delicious. There is also a little Co-Op where most provisions can be bought. From St Mawes you can take the ferry over to Falmouth which takes just 20 minutes. Do try and find the Hidden Hut on the hillside near Portscatho which serves amazing food in a spectacular setting. It took us a while to locate it, but it was worth the effort. The fish chowder was amazing!! All in all, a lovely site to visit and so peaceful in May outside of school holidays.
