This is a lovely spot for walkers. The park is dog friendly, and the staff are very helpful. The facilities are clean and tidy. The park is laid out very well if you want shaded spots there are spots in the trees or you can have full sunshine in other areas. Just out the gates there is a hotel/restaurant which welcome non residence. If you like walking you can walk from the park to Grange Over Sands which is a delightful Victorian seaside town. Lake Windermere is only 14 miles away, and Cartmel about 4 miles away which you can walk from the park. All in all a beautiful area to visit and a lovely campsite to stay at. This is our second time to this park and already plan to go back next year.
