Warm washrooms, chilly welcome.
Our third visit to this site, which is peaceful and has great facilities. The main honeypots of the Lake District are quite a drive away, but there are some interesting places nearer, such as Grange, Cartmel and Kendal.
Sadly, the curse of the Caravan Club struck again, when our welcome was the usual tepid affair - WHY can't the club provide some hospitality training for their wardens so they know how to greet visitors with some warmth and enthusiasm? Budget hotel chains can do it, so what prevents the Caravan Club from at least trying to get their wardens to pretend to be pleased to see visitors?
There are of course exceptions to this rule - step forward the lovely wardens at Battle last Summer. Perhaps Gordon and Co could be recruited to teach their fellow wardens how to do it?
