My husband and I have visited the site on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed.  The pitches are well laid out and the toilet blocks are spacious, warm and very clean.  The staff are friendly and most welcoming. We arrived on a sunny Friday afternoon and decided to visit the nearby Woodlands hotel for dinner which was excellent. We usually need a torch to see our way back, but this time there were thousands of stars to light the way, uncluttered by artificial lighting.  Two owls were having a chat overhead, which added a magical feel to the end of a perfect day.  Kendal is nearby and boasts some really good shops.  A visit here on Saturday left us laden with goodies, and was followed by a walk along the promenade in Arnside, watching the trains navigate the estuary bridge and onto Grange.  Would I visit again?  Yes, can't wait to return.
