Peaceful Site on Edge of Lake District
Very peaceful and easily reached and accessed from M6 motorway.Only used as a short stay of 2 nights as a stopover as part of a longer holiday. But we wished we could have stayed longer as we found it a very peaceful and relaxing site.
Our pitch had far reaching views over Morcambe Bay.It is a 25 minute walk into Victorian Grange over Sands, with a very pleasant promenade walk.
Ravenglass is a longer drive, for the smaller gauge railway into Eskdale.Couple of points to mention, one is there is a decieving hairpin bend as you leave the main road on the lane into Meathop,I only point this out as I met a van (white van man)coming the other way at this point, and a couple of vans were on quite a high level of blocks at the front of their van.
