A real joy to visit this site as it is an ideal spot on our way out and back from home. Restful and quiet with Grange over Sands just a mile and 1/4 away making an ideal walk to visit the town where there are all sorts of cafes shops and interesting things to do. Feeding the ducks, geese and swans in the ornamental garden and pond, walking along the prom to a delightful cafe, Church on Sunday and coffee mornings through the week. Only drawback are the hills as my wife is in a wheelchair making me keep fit as i push her up hioll and down dale.  We really enjoy our time at Meathop and are already planning our next visit
