We moved to this site for a week after not feeling comfy at Coniston. For us, Meathrop was just the ticket, nice & green, nice & quiet.

The wardens were very nice, and I think their info shed is the best I've used yet. Washroom facilities would be hard to beat too.

I enjoyed the woodland dog walk immediately off site, but I imagine it's a touch muddy in wet weather.

We had a veg curry at the hotel next door on the Wednesday evening, and found it really very good.

Grange, about 5 mins drive from the site, is a lovely Edwardian (I think) town, with a nice promenade looking over the salt marsh, and several very good eateries (see advice in info shed)

We enjoyed the site, but I imagine children may find it not so great if they're not the self entertaining types. Very nice environment though.

We'd go again.
