Just spent new year at Meathop, site is easy to find and not too far from major routes. Wardens very friendly & helpful. Toilets are very good, they look brand new.  Hotel round the corner (woodlands) has a public bar which was very handy. Grange over sands is a nice town with a lovely promenade for dog walking ang great views of morecambe bay, Cartmel is only a short drive away and well worth a visit. All attractions of the Lakes within easy access but this part of Cumbria has lots to offer without the crowds of the famous Lakes. Would recommend this site and intend to return at some point.
