It was okay
Our fifth out of six stops on our four weeker and so far this one ranked the lowest. For us there were far too many big trees so sunny pitches were at a premium. The whole site looks tired and dated though in fairness, inside, the facilities block was modern and clean albeit the water pressure was poor. Access to the site was chaotic due to someone on the entrance trying to leave when we and several others arrived at about 12:30. The arrival after 12:00 was largely ignored and we saw people arriving before 10am. Surely with such a narrow access this rule should be strictly enforced or at least made clear that huge problems are likely in the event of two outfits meeting head on! For those who rely on busses, don't, the stop is over two miles away and the service infrequent. Cycleways are abundant if you are in to that mode of transport but beware the terrain - Hilly! Grangeover Sands is nice and well worth a visit.
