Great Stay Just after re opening

We stayed 9 nights. Staff very polite and helpful. The site is very nice and quite very secluded with views over the estuary. We had a grass pitch, most of these are on a slope. The site is trying very hard to be Covid secure. Given wrist band to use toilet and shower block with. You put your band on a peg outside to use facility. 3 bands on view means you wait outside, until someone comes out and retrieves their band in order for you to go in. This system is not fool proof, some people spoil it by ignoring system others forget to pick up their bands. On more than one occasion i was stood outside in the rain waiting for the next out when in fact only one person was in There. You may think HOW DIFFICULT CAN THIS BE? Not the sites fault just human behavior. If your concerned about social distancing avoid Winderemere and Bowness on a sunny day its like a scene from Shaun of the dead, no face coverings no social distancing no interest in precautions. Try Coniston much better and lots of space. The Water mill pub at Ings near Kendal offers in house brewed beer and great food. Overall had a good time with helpful staff and clean facilities.

A bit of forward planning and research would have indicated how far the site was from local facilities etc. Try Google Maps in future!
