My girlfriend and I had spent the afternoon quad biking in Kendal. So as you can imagine,very dirty and muddy.  On our arrival at this site,we were greeted by Norman,who is one of the wardens. He was very helpful. It was no problem for us to leave our motorhome on arrivals car park while we had a walk around the site,to see where we would pitch. As we were only staying the one night and I wanted a pitch that wasn't sloping. So after we found a suitable pitch,we then got ourselves parked up. I asked Norman was there anywhere we could eat? He told us about the woodlands hotel. (5 mins walk from the site) Nothing was to much trouble for him. He even phoned the restaurant while we were there and booked a table for my girlfriend and I.  Even though food was a bit pricey I couldn't fault it. Shower block and toilets were spotless. Lovely site. Will definitely be returning here. We were made very welcome. Thank you.
