This is a lovely site; a great location for the Lake District with beautiful views from the top pitches  The warden was friendly and the facilities excellent. The Woodlands Hotel nearby serves lovely food & the bar is comfortable for a quiet drink (dogs welcome in the bar). There are lots of good places round about for a day out. We would recommend the Motor Museum which is very nostalgic if you were born in the fifties or sixties ( dogs allowed in here too). The weather was pretty awful when we were there, rain, gales & even snow but we had a great time and will definitely visit again.
