Returning to Meathop in Feb was superb,booked in no worries and the site was full due to it being on the back end of a school holiday.Ourselves and 2 x friends managed to get near to each other yet it was a bit weird why the site doesn't allow awnings on the 1st pitches on the right when entering the site as it seemed like there was more than enough space.Anyway it was as it always is lovely quiet and peaceful,we stopped on till 3pm at no extra cost and left just after 3 as per the wardens request,this is to stop traffic jams and keep the traffic down to a minimum when passing the houses on the steep brow.A bit of good advice when leaving the site and just before you pass the cottage on the left have a look to your left in front of the cottage towards the long bumpy road that leads to the bypass,this will allow you to see if there are any vans coming to the site and allow you to let them through without causing a jam.
