Peaceful site
We had a pleasant few nights stay here overlooking the river, which my husband had a brief swim in. We had minimal contact with the staff on arrival and they were very friendly. The facilities were clean and functionable which is all we ask for. We are not too fussed if they are not modern as long as they are working and they were. A decent walk into Killin and the Falls of Dochart, mind the slippy rocks or you may get wet. We had a lovely time in the Falls of Dochart Inn, not a meal though but the menu looked good. The staff member we chatted to there was lovely. Our full day there we walked the hill nearly opposite the site a steep walk up but on a clear day which we had, we were blessed with 360 views spectacular with the sun popping in & out changing the landscape colours. Well worth the effort to climb up. We came down via the Shutter Cafe and had a tasty lunch there, dogs outside though. There is a well stocked Co-op in the town with good parking if needed. Copious walking options for dogs and humans alike from the site. We need to go back again to further explore the area. My only issue was the power cables, I had headaches whilst on site but none when we walked out, so if you are affected by them then choose your pitch wisely.
