Whilst this site may be older and the facilities not as new as some of the other sites we had a lovely visit even though it poured down! The way that the electrical points are higher than most sites, shows this site being so close to the river, has its issues but even though it rained so hard whilst we were there we did not have a problem moving around the site. The walks to the falls in the centre of Killin, even better with all the rain, and the stone circle were lovely as well as options to walk bythe river. Many choices for dog friend pubs and food too but our favourite and a superb meal is at The Courie Inn - family run bistro who accommodated us and our pooch. Need to book as very busy and we were in October - hate to think what it is like in high season! We will be back for more further afield walks in the new season and another dinner at the Courie - which means nestle and snuggle and thats what you get
