Having travelled to here from Morvich(a walkers site, with lots of coming and going ), Maragowan was busy in a different way. The site was almost full and most folk were enjoying the sun. It made for a relaxed atmosphere as no one was in a hurry to go anywhere!

The site is long and thin with plenty of grass areas around the pitches. The amenities block coped admirably to say the site was full, helped by the fact there are several service points well placed at each end of the site. The only downside is that the A road alongside can be a little noisy at times - lots of logging lorries when we were there and tractors start work early.

 Killin itself is an easy walk along the road. The Co-op can supply most needs. There are plenty of places to eat - one pub is just across the road. Walk as far as the craft shop by the Dochart Falls bridge and you will be rewarded with 10% discount on production of your CC card

Feeling more energetic? Plenty of walks, short or long. Fishing, from the site, or hire a canoe and paddle down the river
