PART WET WEEK but excellent
Just got back from this really nice site ,the weather was not kind to us caravan people ,week commencing the 11th May,we had three days of continuous wet weather and unfortunately pitch 51 ( near the river )flooded our awning out ,apparently the drainage is not very good on this pitch ( so be careful if it rains heavy ).
Killin village has enough Pubs/restaurants and the Coop store is excellent for all your needs ,which are all in walking distance of 10/15 mins
the site is well placed for people touring and all the amenities are good, the wardens are very helpful and cheerful.
We stayed for a week and did a lot of walking
IE West Highland way, the old railway line from Killin to Callander and the really nice easy walk down Pier road( NEXT TO THE SITE) which heads down to the loch then back into the village
overall a really nice site and very peace full
