Great Site - Facilities let it down

This site has a lot going for it. Set in a natural valley with a dramatic mountain backdrop and the river Dochart running by it. Great walks from the site out to Loch Tay and beyond. We arrived to a warm welcome from a helpful warden and had a very nice pitch. The site and pitches are well maintained. Killin is a small village but has all the amenities you will need (shop, restaurants and pubs). I normally would not complain about the facilities but on day 2 in the male toilet cubicles one was blocked the other was in a state that would challenge the strongest of constitutions. I can't (and don't want to) imagine the acrobatics required to leave it in such a state. I informed the warden who unblocked one cubicle straight away and I assume set about cleaning the other (I didn't stay to find out). OK, I hear you say this could happen anywhere - true. However, shortly after the loos had been cleaned that morning, someone discarded used toilet paper on the cubicle floor. This was still there the next morning. We lost confidence in the facilities and would not use them - left two days early. Balford August 2018
