Another pleasant stay in Killin

I stayed for a couple of nights at the end of May. The weather was terrible most of the time, but this is a lovely location whatever the weather, especially beside the river. The campsite was fairly busy, but the pitches are quite well spaced out, and there are large central grassy areas, so it didn't feel claustrophobic. It is mostly quiet, although there can be traffic noise from the adjacent road. All the usual Club facilities on site, well maintained and cleaned, with friendly and helpful wardens. There are some lovely walks in the immediate area, on the flat and up into the hills. Killin has a very good choice of places to eat and drink, including a few hotels and a "mobile" catering van (which does nice fish and chips, but doesn't look as if it has moved in years!). There is also a Co-op for groceries etc.
