A Wonderful Easter Break at Maragowan

Just arrived back home following a week at this wonderful site with our 8 year old daughter. Ended up booking this site as all others we tried to book were fully taken so this was quite by accident. Leading up we were worried about there not being much to do in the area as we had not really done any research, however how wrong we were, so many beautiful walks and activities in and around the area, and as we were there for the week preceding Easter it wasn't to busy. Our daughter enjoyed the visit to the Crannog centre near Kenmore, likewise the boat hire at the marina next door, £30 for 2 hours, was well worth doing to give you a different view of the loch without the rigours of paddling. Although the site itself is on the other side of the loch, and can feel isolated, the CoOp is well stocked (its like a Tardis inside) and there are some lovely places to eat close by. The site was spotless, yes the toilet blocks look tired, however they are spotlessly clean and showers were of usual caravan club standard. Nice flat pitches, although TV signal can be temperamental during centre times of day and weather coniditions. Would definitely head back there again!
