Good for families

2 nights in July

We stayed here for 2 nights during our tour of Scotland and found this site a little gem. A lovely open site next to the river with great pitch sizes and a well organised site. The facilities were clean and tidy too. Lovely walk into the village centre and also to the falls and a lovely pub lunch in the pub next to the falls. There are a couple of pubs close by that do food etc if you want a night off cooking or just want a drink. We took a lovely walk up to the edge of Loch Tay were the views are amazing and there is lots of birdlife around too. Altogether a lovely site in a lovely location ( slightly tainted by the late arrival of a family on our last evening who let their 3 kids wake most of the site up on theirs skateboards and kicking football, racing and shouting at each other etc at 7.15am the following morning. Letting their kids round around pitches, numerously tripping over electric cables etc. Maybe non-members should be reminded, on their arrival, of site etiquette with relation to noise and not letting kids run around pitches?? )
