Good for families

No checks

This is a loverly site and as we have family near by one which will be used again and again. We were unsure about visiting due to the current covid restrictions, but the wardens have gone that extra mile and with the changes they have put in place every one feels safe. The only complaint which is a minor one, is that there is not enough checking on new arrivals to see that they have set up correctly. We currently have a camper van just parked next to us on the wrong side of the peg. A small issue but it does close the gap between vans, and has now ruined a nice spot by blocking light to our patch. As I say a small issue in the grand scheme of things, and had we just arrived I would have politely mentioned it to the camper van owner. But as we're leaving in a couple of days it's not worth upsetting any one. However little things like parking the right side of the peg can make a big difference to your neighbours. A simple walk around by wardens would quickly solve any potential neighbourly flare ups. Other than that a truly lovely site which is very well managed during a very difficult time

Sorry but parking the wrong side of the peg is not a "little thing". Light doesn't matter but the pitching rules are in place to maintain the necessary fire break distance between units.

In the interests of safety there should be 6m between the side of his van and the side of yours, with 3m between facing awnings/cars. If your neighbour is breaching that, he needs to move. If you don’t want to point it out to him then tell the site staff.

Actually on the best day of the week so far as the afternoon has gone on it has become more annoying, as they now have to encroach on our pitch to gain access to there lockers. I may have to mention it to some one as my wife does have a condition and must be extra careful. We make every effort to keep a good distance from people but this makes things difficult. So we have moved into the awning rather than sitting out side
