Disappointing

My wife and I visited the site in mid April. Sadly our overwhelming memory will be the lack of a friendly welcome. We witnessed several confrontations between Wardens and visitors which were really unacceptable.  There are no easy walks from the site and to try and walk to Ludlow or a local forest (to walk the dogs) involves a walk along a very narrow pavement alongside a very fast road.  The noise from the nearby roads is very intrusive and the site (being very new) is very open and soulless. There are major works going on to the local railway line. Having said all this Ludlow was a lovely town. We also visited Church Stretton and the Long Mynd which the dogs thoroughly enjoyed.
