First visit

We visited in mid August for 4 nights. It was our first time in this part of Yorkshire, and was exactly what we had hoped for. The site is very nice, and relatively quiet being far enough away from the main road. The non-awning pitches are not very big, but this was not a problem for us in a small motorhome. Leyburn is within easy walking distance, and offers a good choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The area is great for walking, and a walk along the River Ure to the village of Wensley was particularly pleasant. NB - It is worthwhile having an OS map so that you can create your own walking routes, but failing that there are maps on sale at reception. A special word of thanks to the site warden (unfortunately I did not get his name) who lent me the bucket when we discovered a water leak in our motorhome. It allowed us to continue our holiday without too much inconvenience.
