Take the recent slightly negative reviews posted here with a big pinch of salt. We loved Looe. When we arrived, having read some recent reviews, we thought the site may have gone downhill over the last few years. It hasn't. The site was looking splendid. The wardens were polite and welcoming (we phoned ahead as we were early and they happily allowed us to turn up before the normal arrival time) and the arrangements for checking in, albeit a little slower than normal due to the pandemic, were absolutely fine. The facilities were spotless - the only issues were down to the people staying on site (not the wardens fault) - and these issues (such as toilets left in a mess are problems everywhere!). The banding system for the toilets worked fine - if people didn't keep stealing the bands (you can't cater for stupidity). Note, if you want peace and quiet then avoid the pitches around the playground (common sense right?). Looe is a wonderful site, in a wonderful area. Stay there with confidence! Just looking forward to the next time (when, hopefully, the pool will be open!)
