DO NOT BOOK A SERVICED PITCH IF YOU WANT PEACE AND QUIET

The signage and instructions to the site are great and the check in process was quick and easy. The biggest issue we had with the site was that we had booked a service pitch so we could have our own water supply and grey water taken away. However on this site they decided the best place to put the service pitches are right opposite the children's play area which is unsupervised by Caravan Club staff or parents of the children using the facilities. Children were playing and making noisy until 11.30 pm on the 1 night we stayed here and they were so loud you could not watch the TV in the awning and our 2 young children could not sleep due to the noise. We were packed up and ready to leave the site as soon as the site office opened at 9am the following morning. The staff were very helpful and arranged a full refund and booked us on to a different club site.

Why oh why do caravanners watch TV or have radio on in their awning? Do they think their neighbours want to listen to their choice of programme.  It can be bad enough in summer with doors and windows open but in the awning is anti social, intrusive and totally thoughtless. On some sites they have rules about TV's in awnings but I would have thought most people were sensible enough to realise how very thoughtless this habit was.  Obviously not in some cases!
