A fabulous site

We stayed at Looe for a week in mid June and while the weather wasn't up to much, the site was first class. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly and helpful wardens who booked us in. We decided on a hard standing pitch near to the lower toilet block which, if we craned our necks, gave us a glimpse of the sea. The hard standing pitches are terraced so you don't feel overlooked. The grass pitches were in good condition but are on sloping ground so would require levelling blocks. Just a word of warning about the hard standing pitches. If you are putting up an awning you will need really strong rock pegs. I bent several of mine! The wardens on this site couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant and they were always out maintaining the pristine appearance of the site. The bus into Looe and Polperro, or Plymouth in the other direction, stops immediately outside the site, so it's really convenient and avoids paying parking charges in town. This was something that really annoyed us during our stay ...... the fact that every time you visit somewhere you have to pay for around a three hour stay even if you only want an hour. End of rant.
