We’ve had the booking in the diary since February and it’s been months of will we/won’t we (having seen other bookings cancelled), so it was with some anxiety but lots of optimism that we set off for Looe. Time again in our home from home!
On arrival everything was extremely organised and very evidently COVID-secure.
We had a wonderful pitch and enjoyed 2 weeks of sunshine, rain and plenty of fresh air. Beautiful coastal walks, trip to Lost Gardens at Heligan and generally staying away from people!!!
Arrangements on site good. Felt sorry for wardens with so many people failing to read / follow basic instructions. How many missing wrist bands! All systems work well - just need people to cooperate.
Disappointed but understand why no pool.
Highly recommended. Visiting Pizza company and Mocktail company recommended.
Thanks CAMC for passing on VAT savings - great holiday that cost less than planned.
Well Done !!
Thank you Looe Wardens for a fantastic break. We were one of the first to arrive on opening day and your organisational skills were brilliant All social distancing adhered to in the toilet blocks (only four allowed in at anyone time} and plenty of hand sanitisers available. Site is beautiful and throughout our stay all wardens would take time to say hello .. makes all the difference We walked into Looe in about 30 mins although bus stop is outside or Taxi ÂŁ6.00 / ÂŁ7.00 on night return. Coastal walk to Polperro about 4 hours and caught bus back ÂŁ4.10 each. Thank you Looe wardens credit to the site, we have booked to return

Touring Cornwall
This site may be ok in the summer months , but the hard standing pitches are so dangerous in the damp or wet. You have to try and climb a very steep bank on 50% of the pitches to access the hook ups. I would like to see the risk assessment for this. If ever there was one. Facilities good , staff friendly. We travelled Devon and Cornwall for 2 weeks from 01/10/19 , this was the first CMC site we stayed on, the rest of the time we stayed on private sites, which I'm sorry to say were cheaper with better facilities. Come on Caravan & Motorhome club you need to pull your socks.
Many thanks to the Wardens
An amazing site, with the children at school, the peace was wonderful and the pool was warm.
We walked down to Looe and back twice, once on the direct route and once via Millendreath which was the most enjoyable. We had great food at the Coddy Shack next door and the Golden Guinea in Looe.
The wardens did a marvellous job keeping everything going. Thank you so much. See you next year.
Excellent Week end of August
Me and my family of four had a fantastic week. Very busy site this time of the year, but all the facilities were immaculate. Was warned on arrival the serviced pitches are near play area and I could pick another pitch if I wished. Decided to stay on Serviced pitch. Level, good water supply and waist all nearby. Play area noise didn’t worry us as our children are 9 & 11. So perfect to keep an eye on our two whilst relaxing with a bear!!. Noise not past 10 pm or before 8/9 am. Can understand it could be an issue with very young children. All the staff were really friendly and the Tennis, Crazy Golf & Swimming pool was great to have on site. Great little beach just 1 mile away with a cafe. Looe just 1.5 miles away. Loades to do nearby. Would recommend this site to anyone. Great Site, Well run!!

A great week
A busy site (August bank holiday 2019). The site was full to capacity, immaculate facilities, good pitches although some leveling was required on our grass pitch. Friendly Wardens and good local attractions. Bus stop outside if that's your thing and a regular visiting pizza van and fish and chip van during our stay. We had a lovely stay and Looe and the surrounding area is beautiful. the pool is an added bonus if you have children as is the tennis courts and kids golf.
Don't book a serviced pitch!
Whatever you do don't book a serviced pitch! We made this mistake, paid extra for the privilege and then on arrival found just how close to the play and ball park they are... Within touching distance. There was no escaping the noise and bouncing of balls which started at 8am and went on past 10.30pm at night. Our 5 year old daughter had no chance of sleeping before the noise eventually died down around 11pm. Not sure where all the parents were but kids younger than ours were left to roam freely in the dark. We fully expected the site to be busy as it was August Bank Holiday weekend but didn't expect that kind of noise level. We were due to stay for the week but packed up after one night and moved to another club site. It was no reflection on the wardens who were lovely and the pool was great but I really think they need to rethink the positioning of the serviced pitches or at least fence in the play park and close it at a reasonable time.
Lots to do
The largest club site we have stayed on. Good sized hardstanding pitch (some grass pitches look smaller and levelling blocks required). Lovely pool which was heated and good tennis court.
Lovely enclosed dog area.
Good bus timetable and the bus stops right outside the site however Polperro does have a large car park .
Toilet and shower facilities excellent and the wardens work hard to keep them clean.
Had a tasty wood fired pizza from the visiting caterers and a fish and chip van comes one night as well.
Outstanding facilities blighted
Large site, well laid out, excellent value given its outstanding facilities, including swimming pool and tennis court. Sadly blighted by some dog owners who still insist that their little treasure doesn't need to be on a lead, even in the children's play area, also the use of the drinking water taps as the place to rinse out swimming costumes and wetsuits by some.

Very nice site and surroundings
Wonderful site with swimming pool, basketball court and mini-golf. The surroundings are superb. Spectacular coastal pathway between Looe and Polperro.
