After a very rocky start we enjoyed our visit to the safari park.  Due to road contruction our arrival was delayed and it was not easy to persuade the man on duty to let us on site.  Then we asked the same staff member the next morning where we could keep our caravan on Sunday, as the site will not let you leave it while you visit the park after 12pm, and he was very unhelpful.  Luckily, when we arrived at the park they told us you can leave your caravan there and even unhitch to go around the safari side of the park!  Yeah Longleat!!!  Overall our stay at the campsite was ok, but maybe they should train all the staff to know more about the safari park since it is the reason people come to stay.  Don't miss out - make sure you buy a 2-day pass, the safari park is glad to accomidate your caravan.  PS  They will even let you put your dog in a kennel on site.
