Great Clean Site

I can't praise the site or wardens enough, they were friendly, left you to get on with it, no problem. As for the site itself, it's great if you want to go into Longleat by foot or car as the Safari entrance is literally round the corner and by foot, you're inside longleat park the moment you leave the caravan site. It's also great if you're not going to longleat, as you've got Frome a little town about 5 mins drive, there's also a missive asda which again is 5 mins away in the car. There's some great walks for yourself or walking dogs, plenty of green land to see and walk around. Not too far from the likes of Warminster, Bath and Devizes if you want to go there. Site once again is great. If i had to have a slight niggle at it, and believe me, it's very slight. The access to the site is a long narrow country road, not ideal if caravans are entering and exiting, my advise is not to arrive until after 1pm because if you arrive before noon, you'll need your excellent caravan reversing skills. Also there's some great eating pubs dotted around, Royal Oak is our favourite.

Andy - the site details say "earliest arrival 1 pm" so no-one should be arriving before noon!

We know the site well but haven't been there for some years now; in the past the entrance was down the estate road and past the front of the house - one of the best arrivals at any club site. You could also stroll around the estate, with dogs, at any time but without purchasing a ticket, particularly pleasant in the evening when all the crowds had gone home. Sadly, with the changing of the guard, all that stopped which is why we haven't returned since.
