Longleat Club Campsite in Warminster is one of the network's most unique locations - where else in the UK or Europe can you hear lions roaring at night from the comfort of your bed? Set in beautiful parkland, the campsite is located in the midst of the lovely Longleat Estate. The area's famous Safari Park, first to be opened outside Africa, is literally on the doorstep of the Longleat Club Campsite. It's just a 5 minute walk directly from the site to Longleat House and Longleat Safari Park if you prefer not to take your vehicle, and you can buy tickets at Longleat's back gate or buy in advance online at Longleat.
There are several pubs within a 2 mile radius (a lovely walk on a summers evening) and a short drive will bring you to the lively towns of Bath and Bristol. The Roman, Regency and 20th century Bath being a special favourite for visitors touring in Wiltshire. Still famous as a spa, you can take to the waters and literally soak yourself in history. With winding streets and pretty listed buildings, Frome is about 15 minutes from the site. Several fascinating nearby sites of historic interest include Stonehenge, Avebury Neolithic monument and Lacock Abbey.
Please note that Longleat are not able to accept dogs within the grounds or attractions. There are other beautiful walks also available from the Club side of the road that members can enjoy freely and at their own leisure.
Please Note: Reception at this site may close earlier than 8pm and staff may not be available to greet you. If this is the case, don’t worry, you can still arrive on site until 8pm. Alternatively, turn left off the A36 Warminster bypass (Salisbury - Frome) at the roundabout onto the A362 (signposted Frome). In about 0.5 mile at the roundabout take the A362 (third exit) to Frome. After 2.25 miles turn into Lane End next to the White Hart pub. Continue past the Safari Park Entrance and Stalls Farm before turning left again. The site entrance is 200 metres on left. This is the only permitted entry route for caravans and motorhomes. Please note that estate routes may change in the case of a special event. Excellent site, we stayed Friday-Wednesday in August. We were shocked at the site being less than half full. No concerns with noise. Would definitely return

Children running and cycling through pitch. Adjacent unit has a wood/coal fire which meant we couldn't open windows/doors/ skylights in the evening. Too expensive for a grass pitch for 2 nights. Great location for Longleat park. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Lots of children running and cycling through and accross our pitch, site too close to wildlife park. Too expensive, £83 for two nights on a grass pitch is just too much, the club has lost its way. Clean and tidy facilities, but avoid this site during school holidays and weekends.
