Disappointed

Before I comment on my recent stay I would like to say that we stayed at this site some 14 years ago also on a couple more occasions. At the time it was possible to explore the grounds of Longleat house after closing hours. This was what featured in our decision to return but sadly this is no longer the case. With that in mind there is very little to do on the Longleat estate and facilities are only accessible by car. We spent a week at Longleat followed by a week at the very busy Looe Caravan Club site and noticed a huge contrast in how the wardens managed the site. The band system was not monitored and relatively ineffective in comparison with the system used at Looe site and in particular the wardens, there was an unfriendly feel at Longleat compared to the Looe site. Due to the current pandemic the facilities needs to be cleaned more than once a day no toilet rolls and sanitary bins overflowing is not acceptable. Refresher in customer service is needed for the lady in reception upon arrival. Lovely to hear the lions roar but sadly we will not be returning.
