Good for families

Access, access, access.

We have no adverse comments on the site staff, amenities both site or local but we would make readers aware that the access road from the main road and pub to the site is approx 1.8 miles long and during our visit was being used very frequently by large farm equipment (tractors and trailers) and large transporters to the Longleat Estate access just beyond the CAMC site entrance. There was no way that caravans/motorhomes would be able to pass these vehicles on the access road as it us essentially single track in parts with few passing places. So visitors just be wary.

I completely agree with the comments about the access road. Although we didn't meet any farm vehicles on our drive from the main road to the site, part of the road appears to go through what can only be described as a farm yard, and our nice clean van was covered in mud on arrival. I had been travelling very slowly, and have mud flaps on the car and van, in case you were wondering! First job on arrival was to wash the front of the van, although I think site rules say no washing of vehicles. Its a nice site, but why oh why are so many caravan sites situated down narrow single track roads?
