Great site for Longleat visit
After reading previous review we were a little cautious.
We stayed Monday to Friday in a motorhome.
The site had such a nice chilled feel to it.
The staff were so helpful and friendly.
We visited Longleat on the Tuesday, and used their Safari bus tour, which was a lovely day out.
Our pitch backed onto the park, so we used to love hearing the seals at feeding time.
The shower blocks, although a tad dated, were always clean with plenty of hot water.
The information room was the best that I have seen on other sites.
We used the games room for a table tennis/pool challenge. Yes it is tired, but it was serviceable and we had fun.
The wi-fi/phone signal is a challenge, but as long as you are prepared for this beforehand, i.e. bring dvds instead of using Amazon stick etc, go for a walk to check emails, or ring out on the payphone provided in the information room.
We made sure that we had taken enough provisions to cover us for the 4 days there.
We thoroughly enjoyed having quiet time and relaxing.
