Good site although the access road is narrow which did cause problems when we left. We had wanted to visit this site for many years but by the time we were ready to book it was always full. This year to my surprise we found plenty of available pitches but from talking to regulars on nearby pitches, this was due to the change in access to the park facilities. Now you need to buy a full ticket for every day you want to visit rather than being able to access the grounds whenever you want. At least you get 20% off for being in the caravan club which saved us around £20 but the next site we visited was £10 per night cheaper so the savings are already built into the pitch fees. Sum up - nice site, expensive & not what it used to be.
Lovely site
We stayed here for 3 nights on our way to Newquay. What a lovely site. Well maintained and really clean. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. The site was brilliantly located for access into Longleat park (which was fantastic), being only a 5 minute walk down the road. The site was very busy (we visited in the school summer holidays) and there were lots of children on site and it could be quite noisy till around 9pm. Overall a lovely visit we would definitely recommend to families.

Excellent site
Great 2 night stay at a very busy site in August. Brilliant location for longleat only had to walk 5 mins to be in the safari park. Site can be noisy with there being lots of families and the sea lions shouting but we found everyone was quiet by 10pm and then it got going again around 8am.

Stayed for 15 nights. The wardens were really helpful and friendly. Whilst we were there they organised 2 events very well, one cream tea and another with games and a dog show. Both good fun. The site is well positioned for Longleat, Bath, Bristol, Wells, Stonehenge and many other attractions and lovely walks and scenery. Site is highly recommended. The only issue is lack of signal on certain phone network Thank you to the wardens, one of our best holidays yet.
An adventure
Stayed here in August 2015. What a beautiful site.
Easy booking in, really pleasant staff and lovely facilities.
The shop was adequate for basic shopping.
The toilet block was bright, clean and had excellent showers, without the annoying push button for water. The site was maintained daily, with collections of rubbish and grass cutting.
You also had the added bonus of listening to the sea lions and lions roaring.
If you parked on the side of the entrance road, there was some road noise that started about 6 for the Safari park, however it was not too bad.
The staggering of departures and arrival, due to the narrow road, MUST be adhered and this will alleviate any mishaps on the narrow road.
Will definitely be returning.

Excellent family holiday
We have just stayed at this site in August 15. We spent a week at the site and really enjoyed it, the site is lovely, lots for kids to do.the blocks are very clean. It's very pretty, great for day trips ie Bristol, bath,Salisbury etc. we did visit longleat an although at first we thought the entry was very expensive it was worth it. There was so much to do, we were there 7 hours ,as our son is a teenager there was things he was not interested in but if you have younger kiddies you may want to do a two day visit.
I would recommend this site and will be visiting again.

Great family site
Site great location. In walking distance to longleat park.
Clean toilets family room with indoor tv and games room. Outside giant chess swing ball and table tennis. Highly recommended site. Only negative is that we arrived at 1. 45 arrival after 1pm. We were 15 minutes early. The warden was a little hostile stating there was a reason for arriving after 1pm. However on the day of our departure. A van was arriving at 10.15.and was allowed on site.

Can't fault the site
Site was really clean, the staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable. We walked out of the site and round the corner and were straight into Longleat Safari Park. We took the Longleat bus around the animal park which was £5 per person but it meant that the Monkeys couldn't pull off our parking sensors or mirrors or number plates etc. The showers were hot and the facilities were kept tidy. We would defenitely go back and we will be recommending the site to anyone that wants to go to Longleat.
Our second stay
This was our second stay at Longleat and a very enjoyable one too with family. The site is always clean & the wardens work hard. The only negatives this time was that the washing machine ended up costing us £8 as opposed to £5 for a wash, rinse & spin cycle, the warden that I spoke to didn't seem interested in reimbursing me the £3 as the machines are rental ones. We had no option but to use the machine as my 3yr old was poorly during our stay so we had a lot of "sicky" clothes to wash. Secondly, the site states that arrivals are after 1pm due to the very narrow lane that you have to use, on our last day, people were arriving at 10am & being allowed on to the site which we felt wasn't very good for those of us leaving & having to meet on the lane! The wasps were a nightmare also but that was part of the course I guess. We will definitely return to Longleat in the future as the kids had an amazing time & the safari park is just fantastic!
I'll be back.
Excellent. The 3 couples running the site are genuinely friendly and helpful, We will be back.
