Great site

We stayed here for 3 nights. Great site plenty to. Very frendly wardens. The only down side is the tumble dryer is very expensive as it seems are all club sites unlike non club sites. Apart from that fully recommend.

Great Site

Just had a great weekend here, the visit to Longleat was fab, yes it was pricey, but we used our Tesco club card vouchers, we would highly recommend doing the bus tour around the safari, if you want to go into the monkey enclosure, as the damage to cars we witnessed was amazing. The site was clean and tidy, the wardens were very helpful and friendly. The sound of the sea-lions and the train added to the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Great site but Longleat has become very expensive

We have been visiting this site off and on for the past 20 years and up until now have found it great value for money. We used to be able to visit the grounds of Longleat, taking tea in the café, enjoying the gardens, shopping all included in the price. Now, however, you have to have a valid day ticket (costing £32 each!) just to go to the shops or tearoom. The entry prices have almost doubled in recent years, which is unfortunate as this was the main attraction for us as a family. We don't plan on going again as there are many other caravan parks which are much cheaper nearby.

Great Leafy Location

Our first visit mid August to access the Longleat Park. Obviously perfect location to walk into Longleat and we would definitely use the site again for this purpose. Facilities were spotless and good quality, but did experience some waiting for showers. The site is leafy, well laid out and quiet (I don't mind hearing sealions!), but i wouldn't want a pitch next to the Longleat access road. The visiting fish & chip van was a bonus, but plenty of essentials in the site shop. The wardens were friendly, but we had no issues during our visit. We left very happy, Thanks.

Beware poor signal.

Lovely stay for a week the site was clean and well mantained. The site is used by many families so expect plenty of children and associated noise but our two biggest bugbears was the noise from incessant barking dogs just tied up outside caravans and the severe lack of both mobile and wifi signal. Ok mobile signal is not the fault of CC but surely in this day and age the wifi could be improved, we were very near the reception building so would expect the signal to be at least usable.

Disappointing Access to Longleat

I wish I'd read the reviews before we went, the last time we stayed at this site 4 years ago we really enjoyed being able to stroll up the lane to Longleats grounds and have a coffee and browse in their shop. Now you can't do that unless you have a valid day ticket to Longleat, which is very expensive even with the club discount - Very disappointed. Unsurprisingly the site wasn't full, not sure if that had any bearing on people booking or not, but, we won't be going back. It was also quite noisy with access vehicles using the same lane from 6.30 in the morning.

Just what the doctor orderd

After our daughter had been taken ill days before our break, we as a family would like to thank the wardens for all their help and support making or holiday happen, and also for their caring way they inquired on or daughters health during our stay. The site is well above standard, in both layout and maintenance. Children's facilities were excellent and most drivers were keeping to the 5mph and being patient with children riding bikes. Shopping is convenient with Asda just down the road towards Frome.  As a family we expected a little bit more from Longleat Safari Park,  train not working and once inside prices a on the high side. As for the club site..we will be back. Thanks again.

Family monkey fun!

We stayed 2 nights at this site. We loved the site, clean, well spaced pitches in an excellent location for Longleat. We were amazed at the ease of walking into Longleat and beating the crowds onto some rides & attractions. If you don't want your car destroyed, pay the extra for the bus and the commentary through the monkey enclosure is funny!  Agree about the approach road, it is tight. Please fellow caravaners do not arrive until the stated time or you will cause problems!  Lovely site, we have already recommended it to others!
