Having read the latest magazine and the info about power cables I was reminded of what I saw at the Knaresborough site. My friend and I have both been approached on different sites because we were a couple of inches off with the marker on the pitch. The Wardens were correct and we adjusted the position of our vans. On the Knaresborough site I noticed a caravan which looked to be two feet or more off the two markers the car was parked on the awning side of the caravan and the electricity cable was not completely unwound. This remained the case for the final few days of my stay. The position of caravan, car and unwound cable was therefore an hazard to users of the site. Apart from that the site was as good as we have come to expect from club sites, we were pleased to see a restaurant and bar on the site which I would love to see on more sites.

Parking a car on the awning side of a caravan is allowed, provided the awning isn't there of course, I've done it many times but have always asked and it's always been a yes. I'm not sure how it constitutes a hazard?

As not pitching next to the peg that could be but again it depends on a few things, if the caravan was pitched to the left then it would occupy the space for the car and the 3m spacing would be accommodated. As it was there for some time I suspect they had the warden's permission to pitch like that. It does say that if one wishes to pitch in another way please ask the warden so perhaps they had?

As to the EHU cable is that in the rules? I'm not sure?
