After lots of times here SO disappointed

Arriving today for 7 nights £329 to find the bistro is closing tonight for 2 weeks as they can’t get staff, we have been twice already this year and it was limited service. It’s raining so we can’t sit outside and have a drink as we have a small dog, the Manager would not relent and said squash under a small gazebo with others ( it sits 4 people) Many things seem to have changed here with new management, it’s definitely not as friendly as it used to be. I think this will be our last time especially at £329 This was our go to site and alas we are totally disappointed The best thing is though the bistro used to be so busy when dogs were allowed so they must be losing money

With all due respect you knew the price before you arrived  and also the Bistro has not allowed dogs in for 18 mths  or so that I  know of . If this is your go to site you would have already been aware of the no dog rule .  so why was it a surprise when you where refused in  because it was raining ?  ? the Manager would be following the CAMC instructions  so a bit unfair to criticise  them  .  The problem seems to be that you did not get your own way and that is why you are disappointed and have written a poor and not very constructive  review

I would think that at least 50% of members will have their dogs with them, so to not have any suitable seating outside that would be sheltered against the weather is not good, financially won’t be that great for the restaurant either, owners should make sure their dogs do not disturb anyone but we will not be rushing to that site. We are responsible dog owners and so feel it is unfair.

We are fully aware how long the bistro has not let in dogs as we go at least 4 times a year, so do not presume we don’t know this site well.

the other wardens advised it was the manager’s decision, things have definitely changed here.

We have always praised knaresborough site but there are other changes here which I will not go into because you will not find them helpful 

your reply is neither constructive too as you do not know our experiences with this site, which have always been wonderful
