The warm and friendly greeting from the wardens set the tone for this site. It is immaculately kept with the toilet block well up to the standard you would expect. Generally the site is peaceful but from the top field, where the service pitches are located traffic noise can be heard. It is by no means the M1 but it is noticeable. The bar and bistro is a definite asset and was generally busy throughout our weeks stay. The food is freshly made and no more costly than the local pubs in the area. The bar closes at 10 pm which is not only common sense but fair to all concerned. There is still the usual problem of children riding cycles recklessly around the site,I just wonder how long it will be before we have another ,”ROWNTREE PARK” incident. The yardstick for any site is, would I come back? The answer is in a heartbeat.
