Site as expected for the club. Wardens as usual provide clean ,well maintained site. I agree with other comments about opening reception up a little bit earlier if necessary during the work that restricts access and egress. I always try to adhere to the 12 o'clock/or other arrival time but occasionally I do transgress . On this occasion because of the work I was one of several arrivals that blocked the exit. (see other comments). I chose to leave a day early because of the weather warnings (the beast from the east) because on this occasion I couldn't afford to be delayed ie snowed in. I find it rather galling that my decision cost me over £20 when it is obvious that the pitch would not be re -sold. No shows or late cancellations suffer no financial penalty. It hardly seems a fair policy. In future I'll only book for a short stay (say Fri & Sat nights) and take pot luck on extending my stay.
