A few years since we visited this site. What a radical change. New layout and hard standing makes access easy. Old toilet block is okay thanks to the Wardens keeping it spotless. A smaller new block adjacent to the restaurant was modern, clean and warm. We found some sunshine so the walk into Knaresborough was very pleasant. Used the local bus - 22 - to go to Ripon. A very twisty and scenic route as it passes through many pretty villages. I would recommend it. Ripon Cathedral has some impressive architecture on view. The restaurant on site was very good. we enjoyed an excellent meal there.
