My wife and I visited this site on the weekend of the 23 to 25 February 2018. Although building work was ongoing at the site entrance, efforts appear to have been made to ensure the impact of that work on visitors was minimal. The lady on reception was friendly and informative, very helpful, as were all the staff I encountered. Pitches were clean and level, the toilet facilities were maintained to a very high standard. I wanted to watch the Calcutta Cup match on Saturday afternoon and staff opened the bar early for me to go in and watch (wish they hadn't now as England lost). The bar is clean and has some very good beer, I can't comment on the restaurant as we did not eat there but the food looked good. What was missing was a small shop with some basics, but I put that down to the building work, hopefully that will be in place soon. Overall, a very positive experience, the changes already made have made a good site even better. We have visited this site several times before and will definitely be going back.
