First time at this site, and this looks like the model other sites should follow. The wardens were friendly and informative. The new block including the bistro is great. New inclusions include outside dog and cycle cleaning point, and improved waste water and chemical waste areas. Knaresborough is a 20 minute walk away and still offers reasonably interest out of the main season. Harrogate is a short cycle ride away all off main roads, following the Beryl Burton way, although it does include steep inclines for the less experienced cyclist. Many people also walked this route, I would imagine it would take an hour at a steady pace. The site also provides a good dog exercise area and a reasonable child's play area.
