Good for families

Not what we hoped

We had 2 nights on this site, friendly staff, beautiful site, facilities excellent. I did offer a slight observation that the underfloor heating in the disabled facilities was probably set too high under porcelain tiles. Bare feet, especially disabled people’s bare feet, could be burned without knowing. The bistro and bar were a welcome addition. Children seemed to be running wild, we have dogs and some kids seemed to only want to make them bark, which other campers were obviously not happy about. Loved the site, the staff, and the facilities just a shame we felt we shouldn’t stay there with our dogs. Not sure we would return which is a shame as it is beautiful.

Now that we can juggle our time we try to book in schooldays, Mon - Frid and avoid school holidays. Also we seek adult only sites where possible. Perhaps that's an option for you?

Sadly, some parents are just not approachable. We have found that out to our cost after a horrible confrontation with one dad.  We just want peace and quiet in agreeable surroundings.

Having revisited this site, during the week mainly, we can now appreciate how well set up it is. The bistro and bar are lovely, dog friendly, and serve superb food. When the weekends and school holidays come around it is full to bursting. We are due back on here later this year . The staff were very helpful. Very difficult to book this site, as it is full much of the time!
