This was always one of my favourite sites in the network. The biggest problem was getting in without having to book months in advance. The site is even better now so I guess that the booking thing is going to be harder than ever. I wonder if site staff are open to bribes? I doubt it somehow! The hardstanding pitches are the size that they should be and quite simply make hardstandings on lots of other sites just look mean. Without doubt though the star of the show is the new Wanderer Bistro. It is easily as good as anything you will find on the High Street. It sells real ale. Has specials at the weekend and offers a good, imaginative menu at a reasonable price. The staff are helpful and friendly too. I'm sure that if the club decided to roll out the concept across selected sites it would be a huge success. I'm just going to make it even harder for me to get booked in here in the future by telling you how good Knaresborough is!
