We arrived on a Friday night at 6pm to a lovely welcome from happy friendly wardens. Our friends had arrived and pitched up and so we saw a space next to them and took that.  The site is lovely and clean and the hard standing pitches look new with fresh gravel. The toilets were always clean and the whole facilities were up to caravan club standard.   There is a nice play area near the camping field at the far end of the site.  There were lots of wildlife to see with little bunnies hopping around. There are lots of hedgerows for the birds.  Lovely and peaceful. We had tea on Friday night at the bistro with a few drinks in the bar.  The food was really nice and we received a very generous portion. Main course meals are approx £8.95 and £4 to £5 for starters and desserts.  Saturday rained but that didn't stop us. We had a lovely woodland walk down to Knaresborough approx 5km. There's lots of pubs in Knaresborough and a nice little shopping area.  We will definitely visit this site again.  Lovely location! Lovely Wardens!  Thoroughly enjoyed it.
