We recently spent 3 nights at this site to allow us to visit The Great Yorkshire Show. Excellent bus link to Harrogate made this very easy, however very disappointed to find that on arrival at 1.10 we were clearly told we would be on a grass pitch. I was a little surprised as this booking was made in March but clearly it's a first come first served on day of arrival.  As it turned out we enjoyed the grass pitch as it was busy on the site and the additional field gave us a little more peace and quiet, and thankfully it was dry during our stay,  however having stopped on our journey over to Knaresborough, being aware that others had been turned away for arriving early, it was the manner in which we were told quite clearly that we could take a grass pitch or leave it. Not the most friendly of welcomes at a club site, thankfully the spotless facilities, the added bonus of bistro on site and location for our needs took the blunt edge off our less than welcoming arrival.
