Brilliant.
From first greeting I fell in love with this site.
The gentleman who greeted me was friendly, professional and exuded helpfulness.
The site is spotless, the pitches spacious and the toilet blocks immaculate. The on-site bistro sells basic fare, burgers, steaks and fish and chips, adequate if you don't want to cook and a godsend if you arrive after a long drive and just want to chill.
For dogs there is a quite good dog walk on site, and a lane runs up along the site for just over half a mile if woman's best friend wants to run around. Five minutes walk up the Ripley road and there is the entrance to Nidd Gorge, beautiful woodland, streams, a network of paths that extend into Knaresborough one way and Harrogate the other.
Sometimes, reading the reviews, I feel the Caravan club are damned if they did and damned if they didn't. On this occasion this is a damned good refurbishment. Well done club (and that warden, or can I PLEASE call him manager?).
